Malinda Romine, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, Yoga Teacher
Malinda Romine's Bio:
Malinda Romine has three 200hr yoga teacher training certifications, the first of which was in 2004, and the last in 2013 with world renowned Bhakti Yoga teacher, Saul David Raye. She has gone on to assist Saul's public classes and 200 hr programs.
She is a certified Yoga Therapist and has been training with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy since 2008. Her private practice marries embodied movement and psychotherapy techniques, allowing for emotional processes to be experienced in and through the body. A typical session includes guiding clients toward their own insights and intuitive knowledge found in their own body. People who experience this work report a change in their relationship to current life circumstances, through accepting life as it is, and knowing what changes may be possible.
Malinda is loved for her calm and grounded tone. She embodies her trainings and this is palpable when she engages with students. Her practice and teaching style combines yoga with facilitated awareness, guided meditation and self-inquiry. She offers therapeutic yoga classes that create a space for self-support, self-acceptance, and non-judgment. Yoga for her isn't about exercise or achieving the perfect pose. Rather, she feels yoga is a time to be with yourself, as you are, bringing love and compassion to the center of your own being. She is currently enrolled in Advanced Group Facilitator Training with PRYT and is offering her first eight week stress reduction group September 30 - November 18 at Yoga Jai Ma. She is a member of Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
